The place where light dwells: Christmas shop windows 2025
Discover all about the new concept behind Suarez's new Christmas window displays, created in collaboration with the Mayice studio. A unique reinterpretation of the interior of a beautiful space that elevates our creations through geometry, light, and craftsmanship.
Necklaces, bracelets, rings, and earrings come to life in unique variations, but they all share the same DNA: the pursuit of perfection, the permanence of a style, and the homage to our heritage.

THE CONCEPT OF METAJEWEL
Mayice's installation created for Suarez materializes that interior. Instead of looking at the jewel from the outside, Mayice proposes that we enter it: into its faceted planes, its transparencies, into those flashes that multiply when the light finds a new angle from which to enter and reflect its maximum splendor.
The displays are constructed using layers that emulate the inverted emerald cut of a precious stone. This structure creates a crystalline depth, as if each plane opens a new space. Our jewelry is suspended between these layers, floating like tiny inclusions that make each piece entirely unique.
The result is a meta-jewel: a showcase that not only exhibits pieces, but becomes in itself a precious stone where light, geometry and of course emotion, coexist in the same space.
THE CONVERSATION WITH MAYICE
To learn about the process from the inside, we spoke with Marta Alonso Yebra and Imanol Calderón Elósegui, founders of the creative design and architecture studio Mayice, to find out firsthand how they shaped this concept:
What caught your attention about the concept of Fragments of Light when you started the project?
We were drawn to the idea that light is not just illumination: it is matter, something that decomposes, multiplies, and changes shape. Working with that behavior as if it were an almost physical texture was incredibly intriguing.
How was that behavior of light translated into the design of the shop window?
We constructed faceted layers that function like a mineral interior. The overlapping creates that sense of depth, as if we were seeing the soul of a gem. We wanted the public to feel that living, constantly transforming transparency.
You mention that the jewels appear as “inclusions.” What does that mean to you?
Tiny, often imperceptible, particles can be trapped inside a gemstone. We liked the metaphor that Suarez jewelry, by its very nature, becomes like these inclusions: precious elements that reside within a larger structure.
How does this idea relate to the concept of metajewelry?
The shop window is a piece with its own identity. It's not simply a container. It has its own 'carving', its own fragments, its own transparency. It's a jewel that houses other jewels, and we found that relationship very powerful.
This language also appears in the Solidarity Xmas Tree (add hyperlink to the other article). How was that unit created?
It was important that everything belong to the same universe. The tree and the candelabras that you worked on with the Royal Glass Factory were born from the same creative gesture: fragmentation, light, and craftsmanship. They are variations on the same concept that unfolds in different forms.
What particularly excited you about the project?
The idea was for a shop window to be more than just a static display case. We wanted it to breathe, to feel alive, for people to feel like they were stepping into the light itself. We wanted to create a universe of light that extended far beyond the shop window.
THIS IS HOW CHRISTMAS WILL BE LIGHTED UP IN SUAREZ THIS 2025
Suarez's Christmas window displays don't just showcase jewelry: they open a window to an inner world full of light, transparency and movement.
A multifaceted universe that connects the craftsmanship of our pieces with the emotion of this key moment.
This is where the spirit of Christmas truly comes to life: in that fleeting moment when a glance meets the sparkle of a handcrafted creation to surprise that special loved one.
