SUAREZ X SOLIDARITY XMAS TREE 2025
Discover the creation process of our Solidarity Christmas Tree, designed for the 2025 edition of the charity event of the same name. A truly unique piece, developed in collaboration with the creative studio Mayice and handcrafted by master glassblowers at the Royal Glass Factory of La Granja.
This year, 2025, we are once again participating in the Solidarity Xmas Tree charity event with a project that combines craftsmanship, light, and emotion. As in previous years, some of Madrid's most prestigious luxury brands are taking part in this charitable initiative by creating unique Christmas trees that are later auctioned off for charity.
A celebration that, for Suarez, becomes a new hope to share what defines our jewelry house: kindness, passion for craftsmanship and the creation of beauty.
From November 18th to 24th, our flagship boutique at Serrano 42 will be one of the stops on this charity route. There, you can discover firsthand the piece crafted at the Royal Glass Factory of La Granja, created in collaboration with the Mayice studio, and conceived under the concept that underpins our entire Christmas 2025 collection: Fragments of Light.
A collaboration born from the light
Our collaboration with the Mayice studio, founded by architects and designers Marta Alonso Yebra and Imanol Calderón Elósegui, stems from a shared sensibility: a fascination with light and respect for noble materials and craftsmanship.
His work, internationally recognized for turning light into its own language, connects naturally with our jewelry DNA.
To bring this year's Solidarity Xmas Tree to life, we started from a common point: the brilliance of a diamond and its ability to multiply light.
From that idea, Mayice developed a sculptural approach inspired by the defragmentation of form, a concept that allows each piece to have its own life without losing the strength of the whole.
The birth of a unique handcrafted work:
The result is a tree conceived as a luminous jewel: a set of blown glass pieces that work both together and separately.
Even with more than 400 molds with shapes similar to those of our Solidarity Xmas Tree, due to the height of the different parts of the design, it has been necessary for the masters of the Royal Glass Factory to use the technique of creating Albaras, containers made by blown glass without molds, a procedure that requires precision, mastery and sensitivity.
Each piece becomes a fragment of light in itself.
At the top, a small container holds a candle whose warm light is gently projected onto the glass, creating an intimate, almost ritualistic atmosphere.
Like a gem, transparency and refraction cause the brilliance to multiply from different angles.
The Suarez tree is also a versatile piece: it can be displayed as a large unit or arranged in different configurations, filling various spaces with light and warmth. It's a piece designed to transform, evolve, and be a companion not only at Christmas.
The Royal Glass Factory of La Granja: when a tradition is light
Returning to work with the Royal Glass Factory has been a privilege. Its legacy, declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, preserves a know-how that transforms each blown piece into a unique work of art.
Working hand in hand with their master glassmakers, whose knowledge has been passed down since the 18th century, allows for a perfect fusion between ancient technique and contemporary design.
For Suarez, collaborating with this institution means honoring the importance of craftsmanship, time, and dedication that allow an object to transcend time from generation to generation.
Fragments of light that are shared
Although it is a completely unique piece, this Christmas we have created a very limited edition of handcrafted candlesticks, also made at the Royal Glass Factory of La Granja using the same blown glass process that brings our charity piece to life. These unique, limited-edition pieces will be shared with our customers as part of their special Christmas shopping.
With this gift, the fragments that inspire our Christmas multiply and accompany our jewelry, extending the craftsmanship, emotion, and beauty of this creation beyond our boutiques.
We look forward to seeing you at Serrano 42
From Suarez, we want to invite you to explore the Solidarity Xmas Tree route and discover our new solidarity tree: a piece created with the same passion and dedication that we put into each of our jewels.
We look forward to seeing you from November 18th to 24th at our boutique at Serrano 42.
Because every fragment illuminates a story. And every story has the power to transform a memory.
